Management Metrics Analyst/Strategic Planning Analyst - Des Moines, Iowa or Concord, CA
Our client, a major financial services from is looking for a management metrics analytics person. This candidate has solid experience in financial services with strategic business planning. Will look at new products and program to ensure they are profitable for the bank. Excel, financial services and business/financial analysis are required. Credit cards, SAS and SQL experience preferred.
This position is a high level financial analyst role responsible for consulting with clients to identify and define business requirements and translate business needs into complex
analysis designs and recommendations.
It includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
• Identifies and recommends internal and external data sources, compiles/mines data from multiple, cross business sources
• Recommends and participates in the development of complex analysis designs using statistical and/or financial analysis, predictive modeling, process documentation, comparative analysis, etc.
• Interprets results and recommends solutions to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency/quality, etc.
• Ensures adherence to data management regulations and policies.
• May manage project teams and provide guidance to less experienced analysts.
Additional information
Basic Qualifications
8+ years reporting and analytical experience or a minimum of a Masters degree in programs such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance or computer sciences.
Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to provide complex financial analytics and consulting to clients and business leaders
• Familiar with major financial analysis approaches and methodologies
• Good business collaboration and partnering skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines
Preferred Skills
• Senior level research and consulting experience in the finance industry, preferably in finance or the financial side of analytics for risk, marketing or strategic planning/forecasting
• Credit/debit card industry experience
• Hands on experience with SAS, SQL and/or statistical packages, computational financial modeling or time series forecasting techniques
